Very good GPS application. Does everything you would expect from one.

We spent about 1 month in Taiwan, and this GPS was and is a very good choice. It has all the radar spots. The only weakness that we noticed was when we try to enter POI or address in Chinese characters by Taiwanese people. It was difficult, but not possible. Looks like this GPS is mainly designed for western users.

Without a doubt the best option for English maps in Taiwan, but still some work to do like make the street names in Pinyin, and better integration with Google Search.

Some bad moments

i bought this app because i have iphone 4 and ipad2 , after the recent update today, it said i have to enter product key, i never receive the activation code, how could i activate my device again? after the updates, i cant see any chinese names in the map, and the input method should include traditional chinese if u release it in hong kong, right?

Like another reviewer, I had the price of this app drop to $12.99 two days after shelling out $49.99 for what could, at best, be described as a port from a physical GPS-only device. Touch response is clunky, zoom interface wont let you quickly check the surrounding area, if you zoom in on streets to see a name and move a few feet it zooms you back out, GPS signal can never be found on my 3GS, even when other apps have no problem, you cant get a step by step direction list in advance, it cant auto-correct missed steps; youll have to recalculate. All in all a terrible app. That said, if the GPS "signal" issues could be resolved and the price would be fixed at $9.99 continually, I might give this app 3 stars. In the meantime, I am going to actively pursue getting my money back on this one. Beware!

I was in Taipei, Tia Chung and Hong Kong. This application was not able to pick up a GPS signal on my iphone. Strangely enough, Google Maps worked just fine. I have reported this to Apple and asked to be refunded for this application.

After updating, why I have to activate it on my iPad? Please fix!

The new branding is a complete failure. The QA and PM should be shot. How in the world would a map work without the native written language and what is this FXXKing activation thing???? In short, for those who are considering buying, we update the app and its mow asking for an activation code without warning in the update description nor instructions in the app on how to obtain the activation code besides "reinstall". I didnt realize I had to install again and lose my current data when I wad already out on the road trying to use it without WiFi. As an existing user I am extreme angry.

It wont back up my "favorites" places so when that activation code crap happened I had to re-enter all of them. Now I upgraded to 4S and have to do same thing AGAIN. Plus when I come to a stop at a traffic light or something, the map would just keep rotating like crazy, or detects my car location completely wrong...
